The Seafarers is a 1953 short film for the Seafarers Internation Union, directed by Stanley Kubrick. It is his third picture, and was shot in color.

The film contains shots of machinery, ships, a canteen, and a union meeting. Kubrick would use a long, sideways-shooting dolly shot in the cafeteria scene to establish the life of a seafarer's community. He would also use more dolly shots in his later feature films.
